• Blurred vision
• Floaters
• Haloes around lights
• Headaches
• Painful eyes
• Red eyes

Are there any costs involved?

In Wales, we are the envy of our neighbours across the border as we have PEARs. This is the Primary Eyecare Acute Referral scheme which allows people who have a sudden medical problem with their eyes to be examined by an appropriately qualified optometmrist and the cost of the appointment is covered by the Welsh Assembly Government. This scheme was originally developed through this practice and now runs out through the whole of Wales.

Remember many sudden onset eye problems need to be investigated by dilating your pupils meaning you won't be able to drive for a few hours afterwards.
